Check In and Check Out Times
Check-in time is 4:00 PM for Owners and Renters, 5:00 PM for Exchange
Guests. Check-out time is 10:00 AM for everyone. As in the past,
housekeeping, inventory and maintenance personnel have only six hours to
service the units. PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST A LATE CHECK OUT OR AN EARLY
CHECK-IN. If you arrive at Briarwood prior to check in time, you are more
than welcome to make use of the facilities but you will not have access
to your unit. If you have items that need refrigeration we will try and
accommodate you in any way we can.
Exchange Blocking & Forfeiture Of Use
Briarwood will contact RCI & II on March 23rd, and place an
exchange block on all units with any outstanding maintenance fees. This
procedure has proven effective in preventing delinquent owners from
exchanging their unit through the RCI & II spacebank program. Make
sure that you mail your check early so that your exchange will not be
jeopardized. Owners must pay their maintenance fees in full, including
interest, before the block will be released. Any Owner in arrears
will not be allowed access to their unit upon arrival at Briarwood unless
all fees are paid.
RCI Points Program
Owners here at Briarwood now have a new way to exchange and utilize their
investment. We have affiliated with the RCI Points
system. This program gives our owners who choose to join a unique way to
exchange their weeks, including bonus days. Here’s how it works: Your
week is assigned a point value, which is also applicable to your bonus
days. The values are assigned according to the time of the year that you
own. For example, if you own a prime red week, your week will be worth
“X” number of points, while your bonus days will also be assigned “X”
number of points. When you combine these points, you’ll see that your
exchange power is substantially higher. As a matter of fact, Briarwood’s
white weeks are worth more than some resorts’ red weeks!
With our RCI Points system, you can also exchange in a new way, so you’ll
be able to go away for a day, a weekend, a week or more. You can also use
your points for hotel stays, airfare and cruise vacations. If you would
like to know more about the program, you can indicate this on the Unit
Owner Update Form or contact our onsite Resale Agent, Nan Casselbury, at

List your Unit for Rent
You may list your unit for rent by completing the online form, by
faxing a request to 508-540-6337, by emailing reservation@briarwoodresort.net,
or by sending a letter to Briarwood Resort, 30 Pine Valley Drive,
Falmouth, MA 02540 Attn: Reservations. We will accept rentals
beginning January 2nd at 9 AM. No rentals will be accepted before that
date or time.
Briarwood Owners can participate in the rental program described
below. There is no listing fee for owners who are current with their
maintenance fees. Units may not be listed for rent if they are
spacebanked with an exchange company. If Briarwood arranges the rental, a
25% commission will be charged and a $15.00 health inspection fee will be
paid to the Town of Falmouth. These fees will be deducted from the total
rental and the remaining balance will be mailed to the owner
approximately 30 days after the rental has taken place. Be
advised we do not guarantee your unit will rent!
Units Will Be Listed for Rental Availability In The Following
Order:
UNIT OWNERS IN GOOD STANDING, ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS (all
maintenance fees must be paid in full.)
ASSOCIATION WEEKS (units owned by the association, with revenue going to
the operation accounts.)
UNIT OWNERS DELINQUENT ONE YEAR OR LESS (revenue is credited against the
unit owner's balance.)
